Indian Footballer Divyanshu Singh Earns Historic Singapore Premier League U22 Contract with Woodland Warriors FC

Indian footballer Divyanshu Singh has achieved another major milestone in his rapidly rising career after officially being selected to represent Woodland Warriors FC in the upcoming Singapore Premier League U22 competition scheduled for October in Singapore.

The prestigious 26-day tournament will be played at some of Singapore’s top football venues, including the iconic Singapore National Stadium and Jalan Besar ActiveSG Stadium. A total of eight competitive teams are expected to participate in the league, featuring several well-known Asian football clubs and elite youth systems.

Among the participating sides are Singapore football giants such as Lion City Sailors and Tampines Rovers — clubs that have regularly competed in the AFC Champions League and are recognized across Asia for producing high-level professional talent.

Divyanshu’s journey with Woodland Warriors FC began last year when the club invited him to Singapore for trials. Following his successful selection, he represented the club in the Garuda International Cup in Indonesia, where his performances impressed the coaching staff and management. His consistency, versatility, and maturity on the field eventually earned him a contract offer for the upcoming Singapore Premier League U22 season.

With this signing, Divyanshu Singh is set to become one of the very few Indian footballers to feature in the Singapore U22 league system, which is largely dominated by international players from footballing nations such as Spain and Brazil.

Despite his young age, Divyanshu already possesses significant international experience, having played in top division leagues across 5–6 different countries. He has also earned recognition as one of the youngest players to perform in the Sri Lankan Champions League setup, highlighting his rapid growth and exposure at the international level.

Known for his work ethic, attacking mentality, and adaptability, Divyanshu continues to build a reputation as one of India’s promising young footballers aiming to make an impact on the international stage.

His selection for Woodland Warriors FC represents another important step in his football journey and serves as inspiration for aspiring Indian footballers looking to compete professionally overseas.
